What are the characteristics of import and export trade agents
1. The entrusted and entrusted parties shall sign an agency import and export agreement in advance, which clearly stipulates the operation of goods, scope of agency, handover of goods, storage and transportation, cost burden, handling fees, foreign exchange transfer, claim handling, payment settlement, and relevant responsibilities of both parties.
2. The entrusted enterprise handles the agency import and export business, does not advance commodity funds, does not bear basic expenses, does not bear import and export sales profits and losses, and only charges handling fees.
3. The entrusted enterprise shall charge a handling fee to the entrusting party based on the amount of the import and export sales invoice and the prescribed handling fee rate, as a management expense and income for handling the agency import and export business.
4. The import and export tax refund of the exported goods through agency belongs to the entrusting party. Generally, the entrusted enterprise is responsible for obtaining the agency import and export tax refund certificate from the local tax bureau. The entrusting party shall handle the tax refund with the local tax department by presenting the certificate, import and export customs declaration form, import and export foreign exchange verification form, and copy of the agency import and export agreement.
